Yalapa

04 January 2010
Behind the sand banks in the bay of Yalapa. There is a road (trail) that flanks this river which leads to a very large pool and waterfall about 3 miles back. There are numerous homes, farms and a few tiendas along the way. Most all of the structures are built from local trees with palm roofs, and all of the stoves are made from stone and block using an open fire for cooking. We did this road twice. The first on foot and second by horse and mule.
