On the way to conclude Queen's Ransom's circumnavigation of Great Britain. We passed Dungeness a short while ago, sunshine and one degree Celsius this morning. However, a high of six degrees, clear blue skies and a steady North Westerly breeze. Who can really complain. Early morning in Newhaven with a 5.30 am wake up call. Beautiful sunrise by Seaford Head with Beachy Head in the background.

Last night Sara Jane came to visit the boat with some homemade mulled wine. It is her birthday today. Steve made dinner and we enjoyed the warmth of Queen's Ransom's saloon. Winter sailing is an acquired taste. We may stand on to Ramsgate today as we make good progress and certainly I prefer Ramsgate to Dover.
