Passed halfway!

135 miles run in the last 24 hours. Still rocking along, it would be lovely to be still for a while! Another milestone as we passed the halfway point during the night - now counting down the miles - 824 nautical miles to got. Also crossed into another time zone, now we're UT -3. Actually that's as far as we go back because I checked and Suriname is in the same zone although much of the country is further west.
Great excitement as we had two Pilot whales around the boat this morning, about 3-4 metres long, what a sight and right next to the boat! A bit worrying too as our friends on 'Mermaid' collided with some Pilot whales yesterday, they said it was like running aground! Luckily there is no apparent damage to their boat. Maybe the whales were sleeping/resting just below the surface -if whales sleep!
The sea state is slightly improved and we have a bit less wind, now around 15 knots but we're still getting squalls so reef sails in at night. It's hot and sticky tonight, overcast, humid and showery.
