I have just read all the comments people have been so kind to write.
Thank you all so much for the support - really, being the sentimentalist that I am, I am almost brought to tears by the kind and supportive words.
As much as one can say that they have to make their own way in the world, and and "do what they feel is right", it is still important to know that others care and "will be behind you", no matter what road you choose to take.
