Fish Stories
06 January 2008 | various locations in the South Pacific (this one is on Palmerston Atoll)
To see some misc. photos of life aboard, see our upcoming Gallery Album titled hmm...Life Aboard.
Note: We have a thousand photos from this trip and the gallery currently stops at Moorea? I thought I had some from Tahaa, but anyway, we can only upload photos when we have a good internet connection. We (I) wasted hours...days, in Bora Bora trying to get some photos loaded onto the blog. After finally getting a decent connection, and finally figuring out how to load more than one photo at a time onto Sailblogs... we did manage to get the gallery caught up to Moorea.
Of course, after carefully downloading, viewing, moving, editing, selecting, and finally loading photos and making sure they were in chronological order, 'Sailblogs' rearranged them all into a completely random order. (within each album)..which I really do not like, but c'est la vie.
Added to that - our trusty old Sony digital camera, finally, slowly and painfully bit the dust somewhere around Tonga, working intermittently as it felt like it.
Thanks to Steen's parents for replacing our camera.
(We didn't eat this fish. The Marsters families who live on Palmerston Atoll, said it was a grouper and they don't eat them for fear of getting ciguatera fish poisoning.) Of course the last time a person on the atoll got sick from eating a grouper was eight years ago, but why take the chance?
(About Palmyra: That's ok Chris. Palmyra sounds interesting. I owe you a thanks for inspiring me to put a map on the site. My Mom's been asking for one for months. Actually, we should probably upgrade our sailblog membership to include the Map Tracking feature. So it's all good. Thanks.)
