Three men in a boat

05 January 2012
A quote from the book I'm reading. "Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog)" by Jerome K. Jerome.

There is no more thrilling sensation I know of than sailing. It comes as near to flying as man has got to yet-except in dreams. The wings of the rushing wind seem to be bearing you onward, you know not where. You are no longer the low, plodding, puny thing of clay, creeping tortuously upon the ground; you are a part of Nature! Your heart is throbbing against her heart! Your spirit is at one with hers; your limbs grow light! The voices of the air are singing to you. The earth seems far away and little; and the clouds, so close above your head, are brothers, and you stretch your arms to them."

Radiance has new owners.

12 August 2011 | Brisbane
Today I said good bye to Radiance. I told her that we would miss her and thanked her for taking such good care of us. I asked her to also take good care of her new owners.

I think I could hear her say that she would miss us too...mostly Malou, with her sweet songs, her happy laugh, and her wonderful fantasy worlds.
She also told me that she would take good care of her new owners. I know she will, because she's a good ship.

I patted her on the stern, said a quick good bye and...thank you.

Then I walked away, I didn't look back. I couldn't...........

The first real boat

28 August 2010
Back in the summer of 2002 we had just begun looking for a live aboard boat. Without really getting inspired to become a live aboard by most of the boat designs we saw.
It was not until we saw "Grace" owned by Pete and Suzie that we knew exactly what kind boat we wanted.
