Our Christmas Present

We had been following this boat for a year, and two owners later, we found ourselves in a position to act on a dream, or what might even have been a crazy whim. The past few weeks have been focused on the excitement of acquiring our first boat together. A flurry of buying things for her, giving her a new name, searching out and acquiring her tender, P.O.G. (short for, Pot of Gold), and realizing the majority of the gifts under the tree read "To Rainbow from Santa." Although, another four long and cold months until spring launch (booked for May 2, 2011), I figured that I needed some sort of diary, and the easiest thing would be to join the sea of boat blogs. Who knows what might transpire in our future with Rainbow, but right now the excitement is overwhelming.
