Batfish

A number of batfish are hanging out under our keel. It's a marine national park and with no fishing allowed the fish grow very large - these guys would be about 80cm from tip to tail, and are quite fearless. I'd been snorkelling over the coral and when I returned, decided to jump in and take a look at them. But batfish weren't the only wildlife cruising around under our boat, Jim (always helpful) spotted a shark and I quickly left the water as it glided by and took this shot from the deck.
