Low Islets

The Low Isles is a popular destination with tourists and locals from Port Douglas and is a useful stopover for yachties on their way north. In our case, it's as far north as we plan to go. It's not a brilliant anchorage but then with a name like 'Low Isles' you can't expect too much protection. The first night was incredibly rocky as the swell came in two different directions over the coral at high tide but with lighter winds in the following days the motion improved and we were able to enjoy the beautiful tropical setting.
