We've been in Far North Queensland for 4 weeks and during that time we can count the number of days with winds less than 20-25 knots on one hand. Strong winds are not an issue further south because there are plenty of well protected anchorages but up here there's nowhere to hide. Needless to say we've got to know Cairns very well and while we think it's lovely, the south easterly winds are a little lighter over the next few days so we'll belt into them and head back down to the Hinchenbrook.
