We took our dingy and followed John & Ginny in their dingy around the airport bend and all the way to Crown Bay Marina…All the way is only 4 miles, however we were pounding into 2-3 foot swells for the first mile of the trip and into the wind…this was quite the wild exciting ride for us! After fueling up our diesel jerry jugs we headed over to Yacht Haven Grande and did a little shopping then back in the dink for the long ride back…we were speeding along at perhaps 20 miles per hour, and the ride was a little smoother as we were now going with the wind, but still was a little rolly for the last mile or so and then finally, we were back in the sheltered protection of the bay. Whew, What a ride…Jim’s knuckles were white from gripping the throttle handle the whole way back!
