San Carlos Bahia

07 May 2015 | San Carlos Bahia
Sgoff/ Very nice light south wind tonight.
Hanging on a mooring in the Bahia. Very nice night light south wind with a bit of roll going on.

Sounds like snow for the people in the North Country good luck with that.

Headed up to Windsor later this month or early June. I hope to pick up my Grandson to come live with me here. He gets to do the ultimate immersion course for Spanish. He will be in the 5th grade here.

The boat has been working well for several months.
Pictures next time.

La Paz for Christmas maybe

Took a trip to Bahia San Pedro and a Bay near Point Lesna. Both are a short way North of San Carlos.
First trip with Guests.
Every one made it back, and Hechicero performed well with the exception of an under power small stern leak.

Deck Work

03 September 2012 | Bahia San Carlos
Decks have been opened and some bad wood replaced. Working on sanding the old non-skid off. Few more days then new Paint and non skid.

Shakedown 1

07 August 2012 | San Carlos
Hechicero left the bahia today. First time on the Sea for her with the new name. Took her out about 3 miles on the motor and and calibrated the auto pilot. Nothing broke this is a real first.
Then went into the fuel dock for water.

She Floats

I am out of the overseas dust bowl. Don't miss it a bit.
99 degrees today but got down to 81 last night. Humidity 50%. I have made it 4 hours at a time in the boat which is over 100 inside then its time for a break for sure. Went looking for battery powered fans but no luck so far. I have looked in almost all the lockers there is some strange stuff in there.
Got a key for the lock made today so no more crawling in the aft hatch.
The Rigging guy will be there at 0800 in the AM and I have a meeting with the Boat yard right after that. They will give me an estimate on the bottom work needed.
There is a lot to do but I have finally started.
