We left Wrangell early to make our way to Meyers Chuck. After a smooth transit of Zimovia Strait and a run down Ernest Sound we arrived at Meyers Chuck around 2pm averaging almost 7 knots! Boomerang found a 40 ft space at the dock and Restless moored alongside Boomerang. We toured the small community then had a steak dinner in honor of Dave Keyser on board Restless. Dave left us when we arrived in Ketchikan.
We left around 8am on the 10th for our trip to Ketchikan. We had a north wind and were able to sail almost to the dock in Ketchikan!! Best sail day of the trip so far. We will leave Ketchikan tomorrow (12 July) and go to an anchorage still in Alaska before we cross Dixon Entrance on Wednesday. We should arrive in Prince Rupert on Wednesday afternoon.
