We arrived at Blind Channel Resort yesterday (10July) and were planning to stay here one night before moving on to Lagoon Cove. We checked the weather and there is a high wind warning for Johnstone Strait now and for the next 4-5 days. Since we would have about 15 miles in the Strait with high winds on the nose and an opposing current, we've decided to abandon plans of going to the Broughtons. We remember this is a pleasure cruise with emphasis on pleasure! We have decided to stay an extra day here and the go back to Cortes Bay stay another couple of days and then head on back down to Garden Bay. After a few days there we will cross Strait of Georgia when winds are favorable and visit Nanaimo and slowly work our way back home. We still plan on arriving home the last week of July.

We had a great dinner at the Blind Channel Resort last night which features a German cuisine. We all opted for the Wienerschnitzel, red cabbage and spaetzle. Most Execellent!

We're off tomorrow to head back through the Yaculta Rapids and back into Desolation Sound (more clams and oysters!)

We are still having a ball, but realize we need to start eating the food on the boat!
