Gary and Tess
06/17/2009, Baltimore

Hi to All
First of all I would like to thank all who have been here to visit us on our "Adventure" It is so encouraging to know there are those that take time out from their busy schedule to read our blog.
I will try to email those who have sent their comments as soon as we are ready to launch again and set off to distant horizons!!
Found a 3GM Yanmar Diesal in Baltimore and will have it pd off by September and install in same month. "Fingers Crossed"
Will set off in December after tess gets back from her visit to The Philippines!
Here is a encouraging word to all those who wish to one day follow there "DREAMS"
" I have found that if you think of your dream on a daily basis and say you will fulfill your dreams to all those around you then "Your perty much obligated to "Follow that Dream", Thus this Adventure to foreign Ports is Happening"
It's by far not easy but I say be true to your hearts Dreams and all will be ok!

"Taking a Break"
12/03/2008, Titusville Florida

Tess will be returning to the Philippines for a couple of months for Christmas and I will return to Baltimore to work a few months to save money to replace the "Atomic 4 Engine" with a diesal engine. We found that although the Atomic 4 is in great condition we are really needing a more efficient motor such as a diesal.
Thanks for all who have followed us on our Adventure thus far!
We will agin pursue our Dreams once the new engine is in the boat.
Plans are to have all work done and start agin to the Bahamas and points South by March or April of this year.
regards
Tess and Gary

Hello, I have been following your route. I am also from the Philippines, and have sailed to the Philippines from Vancouver, Canada. I am currently in Samal Island, Gulf of Davao. Fair winds to you.
"CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHICH WAY TO GO"

Talk about difficult navigation! This fog lasted for all morning. we were offshore yesterday for 12 hrs and the waves were lg and winds to 25 knts! Very interesting time. We caught a "Black fin Tuna" you can see the pics in the photo galleryl The crew member had to return to go to a meeting so it is just tess and I again. So probably stay inshore on ICW till florida. Besure to see the great pics in the Photo gallery.

Wow!
What fun yesterday was. Took 20 hrs to go 90 miles. Steep Seas and 20 to 22knts wind right on the nose! Lots of noise and little sleep but all is well and ready for another fun day of sailing! Take a look at a pic of the Admiral(Tess) at watch! Also here is a pic of our Crew Member "Jay from Maine" he joined us for the last 600 miles of offshore work.

Gary & Tess:

You have had your ups and downs on this trip so far but you are out there sailing south while most sailors on the Chesapeake Bay are thinking about hauling the boat for the winter. Keep on Sailing South - way to go.

"OH MY GOSH THE BOATS ON FIRE"
11/07/2008, ICW #202/Beaufort NC

"Just another exciting day in the travels of "Restless Rosie"

MY wife and I went into town to get offshore charts after putting the boat back into the water (replaced old thru hull and a sounder).
I remember checking the thru hulls with a drop light and I must of got distracted and left the light on the v-birth bedding.
When we retruned there was a fellow sailor climbing off the boat with a "FIRE EXTINGUISHER" My first thought was "OH great now I will have to go back to work" The only damage(thank the Lord) was bedding and clothes plus the foam backing.
We will travel coastal about 5-8 miles offshore We have a crew member arriving on 11/08 (Jay from Maine)
Stay tuned for more updates and hopefully "Less Exciting"
