Canal Cockburn

Canal Cockburn is a short channel that leads away from the protected channels of Patagonia to the Pacific Ocean. While short, it is usually a trip against the wind and against the swells of the Pacific coming into shallower water (so becoming higher waves, making it more difficult to make progress into them). I was expecting the possibility of waiting for a few days for favorable weather, but we were unusually fortunate, and actually had a (rare for this area) tailwind.
We sped out Canal Cockburn with the fisherman until the wind got to Force 5, then brought the fisherman down. Shortly afterwards, we turned into another protected channel (Canal Ocasion), and then into scenic Caleta Brecknock.
