With a weather forecast for thunderstorms and uncomfortable seas between Barcelona and Ibiza, we changed our plans. We will hang out in Barcelona until tomorrow and then go directly to Gibraltar.... 530 Miles, 3+ days. Not only will we bypass some snotty weather, but we will extend what has turned into a very pleasant stay in Barcelona...rain or no rain.

Yesterday we alternately walked the tree-lined boulevards, gazing at the fountains and ornamental facades, .... And then making our way through the narrow, cobblestone alleys of the Bari Gotti. Got lost, of course....but who cares. Buskers did their tumbling acts and dance routines in each piazza....high energy bids for our Euros to be dropped into their passing tambourines. Gazpacho for lunch again...this time at a Catalan restaurant...no discernible difference from yesterday's Irish Pub! In Barcelona, people really pay attention to Walk/Don't Walk symbols at cross walks. They Don't Walk, even if the road is clear. No Jay-walking either. Clearly, the Catalonians would not do well in Manhattan.

Today, we found a boat chandlery! With measurements in hand, we bought some stainless steel handholds ... Even on a catamaran, it is wise to have handholds at critical spots to prevent falls when the boat motion is erratic.
