Citizens of Earth. The ratty crew you see here has managed to get itself safely to Florida. Now if we can just get to Daytona at night without running aground trying to get to into the Intracoastal Waterway (very shallow at Ponce de Leon Inlet). Another rough night, with 2 big thunderstorms. Spectacular lightning show, thankfully none of it hitting us. We had one lightning strike so close that the sound got to us before the light. Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration. We weren't so concerned about our personal safety as much as the safety of our absurdly overpriced electronics. We'll spend the night in Daytona and probably go up the waterway for awhile, because offshore there are high winds coming from the northwest. Chesapeake, here we come!
