Ended up on Vinalhaven Island after checking out the Muscle Ridge Channel Islands anchorage which was too exposed to the SW winds. Beautiful, quiet anchorage - we were the only ones there. Saw Bald Eagles, a seal, lots of birds. The only excitement was Mike's swim to the dinghy which floated away after the dinghy tow rope was chopped off by our prop when backing down on the anchor. Mike then donned the wet suit (the female one with extra room for breastesses but nothing else!) and hacked away the tow line from the prop.
The water was so cold that the resulting shrinkage made the wet suit fit a lot better.
We ultimately bought a floating tow rope to prevent this mishap in the future.
