Well today has a lot of material to write about and cry about! This morning Phil,Maggie,Rose,Salty and myself went into town after we had breakfast on the boat to sea about renting a golf cart for 4 hours. After a little of this and a little of that we did manage to rent one for the 4 hours for $40.00. We rode all over Sranials Cay from top to bottom.After we were about rode out we stopped by the "Super Market" to buy a few items that we needed before traveling on. After that we stopped by the clinic to get the nurse on dudy to look at Roses eye. We knew that it would be simple and it was. She put some drops in her eyes and then put a eye patch over her eye and told her not to take it off for 24 hours. So after all this we still had a hour left on our 4 hours,but we had done everything that we needed to do so I turned it back in.We all decided to go back to our boats and rest for awhile and then we would go and feed the pigs one last time.So at around 4pm we got in our dinghy and Phil and Maggie got in theres and we set out to feed those poor old starving pigs! When we arrived there was a at there feeding them and one man was in the water feeding them. Soon after they left so it was just us and the pigs. At first everything was good except for one big(250 pounds +) female who was real aggressive! She kept coming right up to the dinghy with mouth wide open. I think that I told Rose,maybe 20-25 times to throw the food away from the dinghy.I told Rose 20-25 times that this was a BIG aggresstive pig.She was feeding her as if you would feed a 8 week old kitten! Just as I was trying to back the boat out,Rose was holding a plastic bag with some bread in it,not paying attention,and WHAM! That pig jumped up and grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the dinghy and into the water! It broke her thumb and there was blood going everywhere. Phil had a rag that we put around her hand and I was finally able to get her back in the dinghy and we took off for the marina,whick was a couple of miles away. It was now around 5:30 and the nurse was gone but there was a number to call to reach her. We did and she arrived about 10 minutes later shocked to see us back again.She cleaned the wound up and put a bandage around itbut said that she would need surgery on it and she would have to fly back to the states for that.Nassau was another option,but since they both required flying we agreed that she would go to Ft. Lauderdale. Now the only catch to that part of it,is that all the flights leaving Black Point tomorrow are full. So the nurse said to be at the office when they open at 7am and plead our case to them and they "usually" will find room. If not I have no idea what we are going to do. She has to have this looked at sooner rather than later.The eye thing was just a accident,but this falls on Rose for being that stupid and for me letting it happen when I saw what was going on. But its done and theres no un-doing it.When I get somewhere that has internet thats not in the 1990's I do have video of the fat *&%$**#@$$#* Pig. I even caught the act in progress. I will have to mute the sound,but I will play some soft music to go with the horror.I will have to edit it and then upload it to you tube and that takes forever just for a 4-5 minute clip.The first part of her feeding the pigs came in clear and i thought that I had turned the camcorder off,but it was still turned on and filming thru the dinghy windshield,that is why it looks like there is stuff on the lens.Rose is busy trying to pack 80 pounds of ---- in a 20 pound bag! All that I can say is WHY THE ______ ME??????????
