I thought that I would update our blog today since there is a little new's of what we have been doing. Yesterday Rose,Salty and I along with our friends Brian and Lynn, went offshore fishing on the Roam-A-Lot. It was such a perfect day with the weather finally starting to behave itself. We left the dock at 10AM and headed toward the ocean. We stopped on the reef in about 15 feet of water to try our luck at bottom fishing. It wasn't long before Captain Brian had the first fish on. It was a triggerfish. We caught a number more before the first chum bad had run out. So we pulled up the anchor and headed for deeper water offshore. We trolled out to 400 feet and back in again without a single bite! I think one reason for this is the fact that every couple of minutes we were getting sea grass caught on the hook. We saw a lot of weed lines but it was so much floating on the water we were having a hard time keeping it off the hooks. When we got back to the reef around 3pm,we again dropped the hook and put out the second chum bag.We caught 6-8 more fish when we noticed it was getting late so we headed back to the marina. It was getting dark before Brian and I finished cleaning the fish and Lynn and Rose finished cooking them.We all had a great meal of fresh fish and rice. It was a great day from start to finish. First Mate Rose did ok thru out the day but she was sitting most of the time with her leg propped up. She is really having a hard time with her right leg. I sent some pictures out the other day, well it now looks twice that bad. It's going to take at least a month for her to get near back to normal. We are still planning on driving back to Charleston next Monday for a week. I have doctor's appt.'s on the 5th,6th and 7th. I also put a tracking option on my "spot" so I will try to send that out today. It will show our fishing trip route. Putting on a short video of the trip also. -------------------
