Your text to link...Well a lot has happened since our last blog. Would take too long to go thru everything, but a few are: we bought a used(new to us)car a couple of months ago. We just don't know how much life is left in the old van.We went to Charleston and only planned on being gone a week and it turned into three weeks. My sister in Jan. finally loss her fight against cancer. She beat the odd's by three years, but it was just too much for her to overcome. We visited Ft. Myers for about a week(where we bought the car). And now at the present time we are on a short test run to see what all will need to be fixed before we start our trip to the Bahamas the first of May. We left in the rain this morning and started towards Newfound Harbor, which is 25 miles west of us.After about running 45 minutes,I looked back behind us and was shocked to not see our dinghy which we had been towing!! And I mean it was no where in sight! Had to get the binoculars out to finally spot it way-way back behind us. So we turned around and after a 30 minute run we were able to tie it back to the boat.Around this time the sun started to come out and the rain stopped. After a three and a half hour run,we dropped anchor and started to get things put away and clean up a little. The first problem we encounted was when we tried to turn on the water the pump would not work.So we are here two days without any running water. The next thing to go was the battery in the dinghy.Tried to start it and no battery juice. Put the charger on for three hours and finally got it started. The final thing(for today) to go was the anchor light. Turned it on at dusk and it would not come on. Luckely I have a portable spare I hung up. Forgot to mention that our cruising buddies from Marathon,Phil&Maggie, joined us here at around 3pm and we all took the dinghys over to picnic island to look around and to let Salty get off the boat for awhile. The video on here is of us there. Its getting late but I will add more tomorrow and also hope to put some video from my phantom drone.Hope it works out because there is a lot of water around here for it to fall into.
