on the way
Well here we are, weather permitting, tomorrow I am on my lazy way, leaving Bowen, heading south to Yamba on the Clarence River, NSW, in no particular hurry. 1st stop Double Bay, for a few days fishing and crabbing.

1st speed bump
Had my first problem, lost drive in the gearbox, enquiries suggested it was probably the damper plate, so out came the gearbox, off to a workshop, wait for parts, patiently!!??.

I did my first trip, out to Gloucester Island to anchor for the night,

Trying out Drifter
Bought a drifter off E_bay, so today was the perfect day to try it out.

Got it all back, but with the wrong damper plate. Waiting.
Put gear box in, no reverse!! However worked out that the change lever was in a slightly different angle, so by adjusting all came good.
Have just had a test motor and shifted anchorage a little.
Back to preparing to leave.

I did my first trip, out to Gloucester Island to anchor for the night,
all off 11mies out there, plus drifting till the breeze came in.
Had a beaut sail, pleased with how G)ypsy gets along.
Coming back yesterday, the breeze never happened and it was a long slow day, still there was no where else I needed to be.
