Almost Home

I know we have a ton up updating to do but our internet the last few weeks has been terrible. We will be sure to add some pics and comments to fill in the gaps.

Right now were at a pizza shop in Isle De Culebra on the way to Puerto Rico tomorrow to wind things down.

A lot of good our limited Spanish did on this trip :) After 3 months and nearly 1000 miles sailed this is the first island that speaks spanish. Is is weird if it feels like home??? Apparantley we should have learned french for this trip.

Pizza just arrived gotta go!

Soggy Dollar

We are at the infamous Soggy Dollar at White Bay in Jost Van Dyke! They claim the worlds best Pain Killer. Good but not the best.........

Killer soft white sand, sunshine, clear water, and the best Valentine's company!

I don't always spend Valentine's Day in the Caribbean, but when I do it is with the love of my life Sarah Jones!

Oh also for all of you that are Jonesin for the Jones's we have officially purchased our return tickets. We are flying back in on the 2nd!

See you all soon!

We will also play catch up on the posts in the next few days. The Baths at Virgin Gorda are amazing!

Getting blown' away!

There is a beach in St. Martin called Maho Beach. This beach is no ordinary beach. It I'd located at the very end of an airport runway... So! Robert and I were curious. We had to check it out for ourselves. We went yesterday and stood behind a jumbo jet with four big engines and got completely sand blasted as it roared up its engines and took off! Thankfully we didn't get thrown down the beach like other people. We did almost lose Robert's hat and sunglasses. And we both have a fresh layer of skin as the top layer has been removed by sand... Lovely! :-) but very fun! The planes landing were not as windy as the ones taking off.

Great BARRACUDA!

01 February 2013 | Saba Bank
Robert
After an edit from Jasonic we realized we caught 3 Great Barracuda (mistaken we thought we caught wahoo).

We took a two hour detour to hit the Saba Bank and got lucky one after another pulling in 3 Great Barracuda.

On Jason's great advice we trolled a Rapalla along the edge and had great luck. They were pretty good size!! Thought we had meals for 2 weeks till we realized that they could have Cigatera which is bad news!

O'well better luck next time that we will catch a more edible species :)
