Boiling Lake Hike Dominica

Did another ridiculous hike today!!
It is the Boiling Lake Hike in Dominica.
It was another very tough hike. I have to look it up but I think it was near 10 miles or so total. Very steep and INCREDIBLE views and jungle.
The end and masterpiece is a LARGE crater lake that is at a RAPID boil and incredibly hot!! The water is so hot even at the edges of the lake that I could barely splash my fingers tips in for a second without burning them. Apparantly there is a huge crack in the earth that expels gas directly into the lake hence the heat.
This along with the sulpher springs along the way makes my top ten for most amazing natural experiences we have had. Truly a spectacular place and experience.
Pizza just showed up so back to the boat we go!
