The Voyage of 'S/V Röde Orm' - Sweden
Come on board and take part in our adventures while exploring the world at the slow pace of a sailing boat. We left in June 2009, heading south to escape the northern winter... to start with. Currently in Algarve/Portugal taking it one day at a time.
Ice in the port, and cold

Crisp and sunny for a change, and beautiful colours

Living aboard!

A new era has begun in our lives... The house is sold and we are now officially full time live-aboards.

Christmas onboard

For the first time. We decided to escape the busy times of emptying the house and packing 'stuff' that will be kept when we'll leave the hous in about three weeks.

Thus a Christmas onboard, just the two of us. Quiet, starry nights, ice on deck in the mornings and daily walks in the surroundings of the marina, including a Natural Reserve.

Took a couple of pictures in the cold and crispy morning to let you know what I am talking about

Happy Holidays!

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with many miles under your keels in following winds to all our frinds out there in the sailing community, and our landlubber friends and families aswell of course.

We will spend Christmas eve and Christmas Day in the boat this year, for a change and as the beginning of a new life. January 16 we'll leave the house to it's new owners an inhabitatants so from then on we will be 'full time live-aboard cruisers' Hooray!!

We were in Bretagne,France just about a week ago to visit Isabelle's family and had a wonderful time with them.

We also had 'tons' of wonderful food and good wines - 'Vive la France!'

As a teaser and an example I've published the pic of the Oysters we had as a starter of a 7course (!) lunch one of those memorable days...
