A Northerly 30-40 knotter predicted for tomorrow made us hastily turn back. A northerly is the only wind direction that provides a sloppy wave action in the marina. Because of this e felt we had to go back and move the boat to another slip. Since we do not have a fixed slip here, we'll have to use anyone where the owner, or more specifically, his boat, is nfor whatever reason not here.
So, tomorrow (we arrived here at 1AM) we'll move Röde Orm to a more protected slip.
Today's picture is showing some nice spring flowers. Unfortunately I forgot to bring the camera to the house, so this pic was on Google, courtesy Gamleby/Västervik

Spent this weekend in our shore-base in Gamleby 470 km N of Falsterbo Kanal. A little more than two months(!) laundry had to be taken care of and lots of winter stuff to be stored away in the house as well as another lot of boat stuff to be brought back to the boat.
The weather is just wonderful here. This fact, together with my parents joining us will probably mean we'll be staying here a few days more.
The luxury of a bathroom with a tub and hot water, a king size bed and a 'real' kitchen is hard to turn down after all. We are having B BQ'-s every night in the garden while the birds are entertaining us.

After the engine alignment and the installation of the new propeller, it was a bit exciting to leave the dock for a 20 minutes trial. Everything seemed in good order and the engine really works smoothly now.
Today's picture shows the new stickers Isabelle gave me for my birthday. In all modesty, we must admit that we like it.
...guess Röde Orm does too! :-D

At last! Nearly four weeks on the hard and today Röde Orm was splashed again. very nice feeling to step down to the boat rather than climb up to it on a ladder
