Aloha, So we went from Liapari to Gizo to Lola to Munda. We spent 3 nights at Lola I. Awesome place with Joe Lisa and Phllis. We pulled ourselves away from Lola and with some difficulty due to lack of current positions and new beacons not on our crusing guide somehow managed to finally find our way into Munda/Lambete. We provisioned as best we could, said our goodbyes to Joe and Phyllis who happened to be there picking up a client. We escaped there at 1100 thinking we had plenty of time to make the 60 k to Viru Harbor. Wrong again! After dodging a few squalls we pulled into Viru at 1900, dropped the hook as it was getting dark , cleaned this nice barracuda john caught (in the dark with my headlamp), and were able to stall the carvers on kayaks until this am. Once again I got suckered into buying this beautiful rosewood bowl, no doubt paying too much. John bought a cute little carving at a very good price@ US$4.00. Another kayak brought us popo's and pamplemouse, and at the last minute we bought two huge live coconut crabs just like the ones in Suvarrow which are up in the deck cooler making a racket. We r supposed to feed them coconuts and they can last a while. Unfortunately, John ate both of ours today. Amazing how much he eats. We then took off at 1000 for the cruise to Saghe in Nono Lagoon. We crossed the 16 ft deep Hele Bar into the lagoon as this massive front began pouring down buckets of rain and blowing 20k right on the nose. How typical ! "We "used Lulu's curry recipe tonight to cook the barracuda. John substituted catsup for the ginger we didn't have-awesome dinner! Its 1930 now and still raining Yuk! At least our tanks r full now.
