Hi folks, today I paid my bill $5233. SBD for the last three months here. Then we got the Rose ready and with the help of Fred ,Noel, and Anna were able to free up the anchor despite it being caught on another chain. We then went for a sail . This was the most beautiful day we've seen since leaving Maui. Wind was 15-17 k out of the NE. WE set out the FISHING POLES AND FLEW ACross THE OCean at 6.5- 7.4 knots under full main and genoa. I couldn't help but think how much work it takes to get these few special hours on the sea. John did well today and really seemed to enjoy it although he is having a little trouble remembering what a boat hook is. When we got back and anchored in 56 ft of water, I had John , who eagerly agreed, to dive and check on the anchor. His words when he came up were the visibility was so bad he couldn't see anything and had to feel his way along the anchor chain. " A little scary" he said. Happily, I put the dinghy down and put the 15h mercury on and it started right up like a champ. PrAISE THE LORD ! We forgot to thaw the meat, so john whipped up this awesome pasta with marsala ,etc dish which was incredible. Tomorrow we try the water maker. Keep your fingers crossed. Love ya'll, Rob
