MacGyver Yapp strikes again

Finally a beautiful day today with clear skies and 15 K west wind. Rose doesn't like to go dead down wind so we are headed a bit N of our preferred route to our next way point. I've pretty much got Rose back up to par after that awful cold front came through. What a miserable day that was. I was feeling sorry for myself when this monster wave crashed into the side of the boat. It was like an M80 went off right in front of you. The starboard side of the boat literally buckled in throwing the entire bookshelf, the metal 3-hole punch flew across the salon and hit me in the leg, and water came pouring in from all over. Don't tell LULU! It even got the Jambox all wet. The next hour I spent cleaning up the mess. Finally, got up the nerve to brave the cold rain and found the cooler/fish holder lying on its side trying to fall off the boat. No problem though. This is where MacGyver comes in. Three of the plastic tie down holders had broken off. So I got an old stainless steel shackle, drilled holes in the surviving tie downs and ran spectra lines through the holes to reattach the straps. Very proud of myself as you can tell. More MacGyver stories to bore you with later.
