Cozumel

27 February 2014 | Cozumel, Mexico
Okay, last night was calm until at 2000 hrs. the wind shifted and slam!!! We were being whipped side to side, scrambled like and egg all night. The good thing is that we didn't need an alarm to get an early start this morning for a 59 mile run.

The tide like yesterday was to our advantage. Although we were only motor-sailing, we were going about 7 knots all the way to Cozumel. We were anchored by 1530 hrs. We were greeted by 2 huge cruise ships anchored and blasting music from shore. We all went to shore for dinner and hula show. There were breakdancers after - they were really good! We also found out that tomorrow is mardi gras and the once a year parade that it's famous for. Tonight we can't make up our minds on whether we should head for Puerto Morales tomorrow or hang out one more day to watch the parade.
