Isla Uva
26 June 2012 | Coiba Island Group, Panama
The plan was to stay in Isla Secas but the strong north winds and the 5 ft. swells stopped us. We were going to anchor with the group of sailboats at Isla Brincanco but earlier, when we attempted to raise the mainsail, the halyard snapped out of it. This means that the captain have to climb up the mast to retrieve the halyard in a calm bay.
We were greeted by a few small black butterflies at Isla Uva. If you’re a superstitious person from Philippines – it means someone dear to you will die. We also see a number of white butterflies which means, the spirit of someone dear to you is paying you a visit. Well, no one dear to us died since we saw the black butterflies. As for the white ones that represent the spirit of our loved ones, we welcome their visit with open arms.
