Getting There...

16 July 2009
After a few weeks hiatus, as I've been sailing/working in the Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge, Scott's been working overtime with his final days at work and getting the boat shipshape, and the kids have been off galavanting with grandparents, we are getting back into the groove here in Newport.
Last week we finally got the boat in the water, and Scott and I moved her the short distance from Portsmouth, RI to her mooring in Newport Harbor.
Tomorrow is both of our last days at work, and the kids arrive back in town on Saturday - so just a little bit longer until the renters arrive, and we are finally forced to face the reality of moving onto the boat!
The school curriculum for the year arrived last week in two heavy boxes - a bit daunting for all involved!
If anyone is bored in the next few weeks and wants to come over for a bit of heavy lifting/deep cleaning, just let us know! (Tempting, I know.)
Updates will happen more frequently as we shut down our land life - we are anxious to get into our new routine.
Hope you are enjoying your summer, stay tuned for our next message!
