SAILING THE CARIBBEAN - A DREAM COME TRUE
Profile for s/v SAILACIOUS

Captain: Janice & Steve
Hailing Port: Paradise Island, Florida
The Crew: This adventure began in October of 2007 when Steve came to look at a boat that Janice had for sale on Craig's List. Steve wanted to learn how to sail and Janice needed a new kitchen. They struck up a deal where Steve got the boat with lessons and Janice got her fabulous kitchen (see photos in The Beginning Gallery). It didn't take long to see how perfect they were for each other in every way. They discovered that they shared the same dream of cruising the islands so in only a few months the 'bartered' boat was again up for sale. They were looking for a blue water cruiser and purchased a Tayana 37 Cutter. They named her Sailacious - and that was the start of the journey from Paradise Island, FL to unlimited Tropical Islands! This site will detail the adventures of the Sailing Vessel Sailacious. The entries will take you from the purchase of the boat through all preparations and off cruising the Caribbean Sea. We know written words can never describe the beauty and excitement of it all, but we will try. We would love to hear from you either via email or in the blog comments.
