Transition from land to sea:

SLOTH to SAILACIOUS
I figured I should put a short piece out here in case anyone is actually reading this blog.
We stored SLOTH, our motorhome, in Olympia and spent a glorious 2 weeks playing with Steve's grandson and preparing to head back to Sailacious and our life at sea. On route we spent a few days in Florida visiting friends and family. Leaving my granddaughters I realized that the only downfall of our lifestyle is being away from the grandkids.
After arriving in Puerto Rico and picking up the rental car we headed to our hotel, Wal-Mart and then the boat. 2 days of hard work on land and then 4 more in the marina, in heat that we were just not used to, left us exhausted. But the sails are on and the teak is cleaned. All the cupboards and walls inside have been washed. All clothes have been removed from plastic bags and put back in closets and drawers. Provisions are stored. The engine has received maintenance and fuel and water tanks are full.
We are ready to snorkle reefs and hit the beaches.....
