Day One having fun!

Last night was a little trying when the wind died. We went from blasting out of Bermuda in 18 knots of wind to floundering in 7 knots of wind all night. We were skeptical of starting the engine so early in the passage - but we stuck to our 4 knot rule. The wind built to 10 knots in the morning, which gave me the opportunity to pop the spinnaker! Now we are cruising at 5 to 7 knots and having a blast! There is nothing better than the wind at your back. We managed to log 114 miles all things considered.
We had my famous curry chicken last night and for the first time it was not given to the sea - I guess they liked it. Tonight is pasta with Victor's famous salad dressing - minus the Victor. For dessert we have been dipping into the Chips Ahoy (a true sailor's cookie) although we need to monitor CR - such a sweet tooth.
One thousand five hundred and seventy eight miles to go......one thousand five hundred and seventy eight...you knock one down, slosh around ... one thousand five hundred and seventy seven miles to go!
