Land Ho!

Rodney
We just put the anchor down and have safely arrived in St David's Harbor. Our entire trip took us just under 17 days to cover 2760 miles - the longest nonstop passage I have ever done. I wanted to thank Jamie, Eric, George and all of our wives, family, and friends for keeping Azure II going and sharing a great trip, some good stories, and some bad jokes.
The passage last night was pretty uneventful until 2:00 am - why do things always happen at 2 am? George came down to wake me and say there was something wrong with the jib. I came up on deck to see Jamie and Eric already shining a light to on the top of the mast. You could see the head of the jib had come loose from the roller furler and starting to slide down the track! We rolled up the jib as best we could so it was contained. It was too dark to do any repairs so we will just leave it until we get into port. Unfortunately we were only sailing with the main, but sill making 6 knots. In the morning we took down the main and hoisted the spinnaker for the final run for the barn. We are all really looking forward to a cheeseburger in paradise tonight.
