Day Six

Another Slow day for Azure. On Day six we only did 50 miles.
Each boat has a transponder to show our position on the Pac Cup web site. Our position is delayed by six hours so the information cannot be used by competitors. Most boats also have an single side band radio to communicate with the race committee twice a day, once at 9:30 am to report our position, and once at 5:00 pm for children's hour. Children's hour has a fun format where the racers can joke or comment on their days progress. Today's challenge was to write a limerick that describes the trip so far. Here was ours:
There were four men from Azure that needed some wind for sure Their highs became low when their chute did blow And now only rum is the cure
RJ has been working feverishly on his video of the trip. He has some great footage of the before party and preparations, the start and the voyage. He took some very interesting footage today under the boat. He strapped the GoPro to the end of a boat hook and filmed under the boat while we were sailing along - they came our really nice. Stay tuned for the grand opening at theaters near you.
