Gavin will be pleased to learn we (actually Rick) caught a small skipjack this morning. Hopefully an omen for things so come. We continue to motor sail in very light breeze forecast is for wind to pick up this afternoon so we hope to start sailing again. The forecast for the next several days is for wind 10-15 from the north (or so). Which is positive for this voyage. Everyone is getting into the rhythm, reading working on knots, thinking about this evenings meal and hopping it will be a bit warmer tonight-last know was chilly. One good sign is the ocean is warming up a little.

The sense of all these things comes to him most clearly in the course of a long ocean voyage, when he watches day after day the receding rim of the horizon, ridged and furrowed by waves… And then, as never on land, he knows the truth that his world is a water world, a planet dominated by its covering mantle of ocean, in which the continents are but transient intrusions of land above the surface of the all-encircling sea…Rachel Carson--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.------------------------------ Steve Jobs--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow!
