We arrive this morning at about 1100- the sail down was varied- but we did 178 nm on last 18 hours- but then we arrived - actually had to slow down to so we could arrive at the entrance at the right time- not clear we did -other than we got through the pass with no drama- we are anchored inside of a bowl- the Tuamotus are atolls- which means the middle has receded back into the ocean and all the that is left is the coral reef that surrounded the mountains- one of the great benefits of being inside is there is NO swell- the boat is absolutely still, which we all appreciate- We were greeted by a squadron of black tip reef sharks (all about 4 feet) - we have been told that people are not part of the black tip food chain - seems to be true we have all been in the water with them and they were certainly less interested in us then we were in them- we may do a drift dive tomorrow on the incoming tide before we head up toward the airport. Keep those cards and letters coming. Bob
