Yard Time

17 May 2011 | San Carlos, Mexico
Rod/ Sunny & Warm
We arrived back in San Carlos almost three weeks ago & I've been in the yard working on the boat ever since. We put a West System Epoxy barrier on the bottom of Isabella (several coats) & then 3 coats of a modified epoxy bottom paint, zincs, cleaned & waxed the prop & launched the boat today. Boy, does it feel good to have Isabella back in the water where she belongs. After weeks in the hot & dusty yard, it was great just to wash the boat today, which was out of the water 7 weeks. All that dust just turns to mud on your body when you sweat, bummer.
We have a couple of more weeks of work, installing a new SSB, refinishing some cupboards & floors, soon we will be back underway in the Northern Sea of Cortez.
