01/14/2012, Dock 3 Marina Palmira, La Paz
With the departure of our friends Terry & Heidi strange things have begun to happen on dock 3......... For any of you that may not know Jim, he is NOT an angel....
As Jane would say "He's just wrong" (But fun.)

Our good friends, Terry & Heidi Kotas, of the sailing vessel CETUS are off the dock & on the first leg of their journey to the Galapagos Islands & beyond. After a delay with Rosie's (the boat cat) paperwork for later stops, they departed Marina Palmira this morning shortly after 0900 with hugs, smiles, tears & many well wishes for the fun & trials that lay ahead. They will be sorely missed here in La Paz on dock 3 by their many friends. We wish them nothing but the best & are already anxious to hear the tales & stories of this new adventure.
Hasta Luego my friend.............
May you have fair winds & following seas........

We have had the pleasure of Jane's mom Irene here for the Holidays & will be here until the 4th. A special time has been had by all.

Jane completed her first climb to the Fishermans Memorial in LaPaz since her foot surgeries 4 years ago & was rewarded with a beautiful view of Marina Palmira & Bahia de La Paz.

We just picked up our Honda Element E-Camper in Santa Rosalia. With it in La Paz this winter as well as the boat, we hope to explore some of Baja California not accessable to us before. Should be fun...

Every trip North or South in the Sea of Cortez includes some must stop kind of places. Here is a picture of one of them, Bahia Agua Verde. One of my favorites.
A couple of days ago we were in the Everisto, Isla San Francisco area & we got 1.5" of rain in our rain guage & wind from every direction at 20-30 knots, moving the boat 4 times in 24 hours. The last time at 3:30 AM we decided to just head south & encountered 40+ knot winds, ripping off our bimini top, building the seas to 7' and very rough before reaching La Paz. Now we sit at Marina Palmira. Snug & Smug.
Hasta.

Happy you are safe and sound in LaPaz. I loved that town, used to spend lots of time there.
