Yes, we will be shipping Isabella back to the Pacific Northwest this spring. Both of our parents have been having health issues & it's time to take some time out to spend with them. Isabella will be headed back as deck cargo on a freighter with a company known as Yacht Path. They will pick her up here in La Paz in May & drop her off almost at our front door in Victoria Harbor, Canada ten days later. We have decided to ship her as it is much easier on the boat (virtually no wear & tear) & people against the prevailing weather on the West Coast of Mexico & the US, also the price was right. Many of our friends have used this kind of thing from Mexico & the South Pacific with great results.
Our next adventure....... Alaska??

The weather, it's always a big part of your life here on a sailboat. Everything revolves around it, as it dictates how or even if we sleep, the meals we cook & what we do each day. The reason we have spent so much time here is that in the winter the temps usually run in the high 70's in the day & the 50's at night. Purrrfect by our standards.
The reason I'm writing this is for our friends in the Puget Sound, where we sailed from, who have been experiencing some..... we'll say unusual weather...... ( and I like to gloat when I can)........
So here is another purfect sunset experienced last night.........
Oh yeah & the other reason is because we will be headed back to Puget Sound with Isabella in May, so next year we will be huddled up next to the fire with you & I will need a way to look back & know that it wasn't just a dream......

With the departure of our friends Terry & Heidi strange things have begun to happen on dock 3......... For any of you that may not know Jim, he is NOT an angel....
As Jane would say "He's just wrong" (But fun.)

Our good friends, Terry & Heidi Kotas, of the sailing vessel CETUS are off the dock & on the first leg of their journey to the Galapagos Islands & beyond. After a delay with Rosie's (the boat cat) paperwork for later stops, they departed Marina Palmira this morning shortly after 0900 with hugs, smiles, tears & many well wishes for the fun & trials that lay ahead. They will be sorely missed here in La Paz on dock 3 by their many friends. We wish them nothing but the best & are already anxious to hear the tales & stories of this new adventure.
Hasta Luego my friend.............
May you have fair winds & following seas........
