Sailing Isabella & Plan "B"
North by Northwest
Sunny & 85
08/05/2012, 49th parallel + or -

OK - I know I have neglected this, so here is a quick fill in........ We unloaded Isabella off of the Yacht Path ship the first week of June in Naniamo,BC. I sailed her to Cornet Bay by myself as Jane & tucker took the car on the ferry. With winds 20-25 knots it was a lively ride. After being out of the country for 2 years US Customs in Friday Harbor did not even look at the boat & were only interested in the $25 Customs sticker I did not have. Headed to the cabin, finished tiling the bathroom, spent time with Jane's mom & my folks, went to Alaska for a week to run the Quest & we spent some time out on the boat enjoying the Pacific Northwest summer. In Chemainus, BC we visited with Jim & Diane from S/V Prairie Oyster (friends from La Paz) for the Vancouver Island Hearts tournament ........ more soon. Hasta, Rod

Isabella was loaded aboard the Yacht Path ship "PAC ACRUX" yesterday and is now on her way north to Victoria, BC with an ETA of June 13. We are looking forward to having her back in the Pacific Northwest for some cruising here & north to Alaska. Quite a change from Mexico. We are still adjusting the the change ourselves. Hasta.

With the arrival of our first 80 degree days of the year
we find ourselves much like the song......

Got my toes in the water
Ass in the sand
not a worry in the world
A cold drink in my hand
Life is good today
Life is good today.......

Hasta

We are still at our cabin anxiously awaiting the arrival of Isabella on the Yacht Path ship to Victoria. The scheduled arrival is now June 5th & subject to change.
However we have been enjoying some beautiful sunsets here too, a 600 yard walk towards Hoypus Point yeilds this view with temps now in the 60's & low 70's........... Not Bad!!!!!
Not as warm as Mexico, but do-able..........

I stumbled across your blog. We keep our boat in Olympia and may do a similar type of trip to Mexico. Keep us updated on your experiences with Yacht Path, I am very interested. Hope to see you out on the water this Summer!

Many times it's the little things that make a big impact.
Like a great island sunrise & a time to reflect.

Tucker seems to have his own drive up window. I almost expect to hear him say "I'll have a Big Mac, Fries & a Coke please"
