Daytime 59 degrees! night 45 degrees
Heading down the ditch on Veteran's Day!

Leaving our dock and expect to make an average of 40 miles a day with some extra days in special place like Charleston and Vero Beach. I am sure there will be lots of great little anchorages lang the way that will be too good not to enjoy.

At that rate it will take us more than one month to get to Key Largo or even Florida.

We have over 150 parts on the boat but my most cherished is the plug on the dinghy. This morning as we both woke up to our last day home, both of us quieter than usual but aware we had so much to do, I asked John, "Tell me John, the plug on the dinghy isn't attached to anything, if we lose it, do we have another one?". John kindly reassured me "Why yes, we have a second one." What a relief to hear that but just to be sure I asked, "Do you know where it is?"...."No, I don't" he answered.

We have 3 days of chili, ready to go as we know the temps will be chilly and we expect to make it to Morehead city, Swansboro, Wilmington and Southport, North Carolina by Sunday for sure. First thing tomorrow, pump out, water in the two tanks and fuel at River Dunes.

By the way, we found a baggie today with the extra dinghy water plug.

It's the Journey, not the Destination.
