Leaving Puerto Colon Tenerife
Heather and Jonathan / Overcast10/19/2011, Tenerife
We have at last set up the blog! We are writing this while, yet again, various craftsmen are on board ironing out some snags before we set our for our shake down tour tomorrow.
The first sail to Gomera went well, although the winds of up to 32 knots were not exactly planned for a first sail. The photo shows matilda in all her glory the day before we headed out to sea for the first time. If you take a look in the photo galleries you will see videos of the launch and various other shots taken by yours truly and Jenny of our first sail.
We will update again soon, as we set sail for Gran Canaria tomorrow morning.
Love Heather, Jonathan and Matilda

Guys, I am envious. You are truly living the dream. You have an amazing adventure ahead of you and cannot imagine how you will possibly settle down after this trip. Go safely. When will you be in Italy or Sardegna or Corsica or the balkans>

Its a lifetime experience.
Just wondering whats the number of days continuously at sea when you cross the Atlantic?

Crossing the Atlantic should take about 3 weeks at sea (at the most). Some of our passages in the World ARC are a little longer. Thanks all for your supportive comments!
