Oh, What a view!

Today I rode my bike almost to the top of the highest hill on Valentia Island.
Then I walked to the top. At lower levels the view was great, even off to Skellig Islands. This higher I went, the colder, windier and rainier it was. At the top I could see maybe 50 feet, but I could just tell that the view was grand!
This picture was from yesterday, Paul and I rode bikes to the lighthouse and then saw the tetrapods tracks, that were laid-down 385 million years ago. At that point Ireland was south of the equator and was warm. The tetrapods were among the earlier animals to come out of the sea and walk on land. These tracks are the earliest tracks of animals on land that are still in situ. (Latin phrase that means in position.) The things you learn when traveling.
