The End of the Canal

Tonight will be our last night in the Caledonian Canal. We are at Corpach Basin, just one lock before we are out. Tomorrow morning we take a side trip, a one-hour train ride through the mountains to Mallaig and then turn around and take the same train back. Just because it is supposed to be such a beautiful ride!
Our month of May was such a difficult month, a brother-in-law passing away, a sister struggling with cancer and my own two surgeries for skin cancer. The Caledonian Canal has proved to be very restorative, beautiful, peaceful and a forgiving way to ease back into the rigors of sailing. I have loved every minute of it.
