The lighter side of cruising

I am always blogging about our wonderful adventures. Lest you get the impression that is all this life is about, here is a different kind of update. At the Isle of Man we tore the head (toilet for you landlubbers) apart, cleaned out all the build-up (doesn't that sound lovely?) and replaced all the gaskets. Recently we have finished washing and waxing the cabin sides and the cockpit. Cleaned all the canvas on the boat and walked many a mile (unsuccessfully at that) to find waterproof spray for said canvas. I went up the mast (yes, that is my leg in the photo) to replace the light bulb for the tri-color. Cleaned the stove/oven and that is not a self-cleaning oven. Washed all the window covers. Added a 12-volt plug-in for the cockpit. Added a new flex-gate compass for the auto-pilot. Repaired the door to the head that Paul wiped out during a storm in 'The Wash'. Serviced the engine, changed filters and checked out alignment. Built a new LED anchor light using a jelly jar as the fixture. Replaced towing pad-eye on dingy which was leaking and causing it to sink. Found a propane solution in France, every country has been different and requires schlepping propane canisters long distances. Repaired a hole in the mainsail. And the beat goes on and on and on. But who is complaining?
