Bahia Honda Panama silencio

As we sit here in Bahia Honda, our friends on Palarran and Sunrunner left this morning, thoughts go to power generation. We consume a lot of power for a cruising boat and there has not been a lot of wind or solar for us to draw off of so out comes the trusty (or not so trusty as the last time proved) Honda 2K generator.
This little red box has become the defacto power source for hundreds, if not thousands of cruising vessels, whether far afield or close to shore, they can be found everywhere. Reasonably quiet as they may be, we always hesitate to fire it up until we are in an empty or near empty anchorage as we don't like listening to others- I can imagine that others feel the same.
So it started first pull; no issues this time! One of those small favors that Neptune tosses our way on occasion. Juice is flowing, batteries are charging, fans are blowing, all is good.
We had a mini Papillon Party last night with CB, Tawn , and Paul- we used charting and route planning as our excuse. Again, "There ain't no party like a Papillon Party"! It's great when a group of friends can just sit around and BS with nothing really being discussed and still have all involved!
We probably will haul anchor in the morning and head to Isla Cebaco- or further- or not. Tough decisions.
